Kickstart your creative and wanderlust ideas for 2024
Over the Autumn and the Winter, I have been gathering seed heads from the garden. I’ve made a set of handmade natural Art Brushes out of dried prairie plants and used them for making expressive botanical ink drawings to add to future collages. In addition, I’ve been making notes of words and phrases from my thoughts and from poems that conjure the spirit of the prairie garden.
What a Winter! Have you been warm enough? here’s looking towards spring and summer 2023
As the daylight hours get a little longer and sunshine seems to appear on some days by mid-morning there are glimpses of the New Year taking off. The damp and dank days have been too many, we know that January and February are traditionally tough months for us in the UK, yet this year has thrown so much more at our Winter months. I won’t remind you of what has become all too familiar over the past few months but instead look forward, to better times, better weather, and hopefulness.
It was great to see some of you over the summer, lets raise our glasses to 2022!
Well, that was the maddest yet heartening summer yet! I don’t know about you, but it really caught me by surprise. After becoming used to a more leisurely approach in 2020, work mode was right back up there as 2021 progressed and it went on and on until the end of October. Whilst a bit overwhelming to be back at full speed it was so good to see people, to work with course members, to get back into the chatter and the sharing of information and skills……..

We all have our stories to tell about the last year. If you have had more downs than ups, I hope that 2021 brings you some equilibrium and better times. I have spent a great deal of time reflecting on all that life has thrown at us…
