Experience & Structure
Amanda’s teaching experience has helped to bring structure to her practice and her good communication skills continue to benefit others in workshops and talks. Amanda thrives working alone in her studio but also in a group environment where she aims to nurture a ‘can do’ self – confidence in others and pass on her skills.

At first sight, Amanda’s work can be viewed as abstract but her imagery originates from first-hand observation and experience of her environment. Mostly the tiny fragments of what she sees in front of her, that fascinate her, that she wants to record and remember.
current work
Mixed media & Exploration
Amanda’s current work involves using a range of paper and textile media to explore capture and record her visual insights of her own surroundings and the places she visits.
Characteristically, you will see that Amanda makes compositional arrangements capturing fractured marks, tactile surface qualities, linear pathways and decorative patterns.
